IRL CLAM PROJECT WINS AWARD

The IRL Clam Restoration Project won Project of the Year at the 19th Annual Marine Resources Council Conservation Achievement Awards Dinner. The event was held Saturday, February 22 on Florida's Space Coast to honor conservation projects which are making a difference. Capt Blair Wiggins from Addictive Fishing Television and Frank Gidus from CCA Florida accepted the award on behalf of the clam team. It has been an incredible year for the Indian River Lagoon Clam Project reaching our fundraising goal to help Whitney Labs in St. Augustine spawn 4 million clams - twice as many clams as originally proposed. The project is full steam ahead with a planned release of the first generation of clams in the Indian River this spring. So make sure you sign up for the Clam Newsletter so you can stay up to date on our progress.
